2. Current Writing Projects

Last month I told you about 11 different writing projects on which I’m hard at work. My agent, Greg Johnson, the founder and president of WordServe Literary, just notified me that Whitaker House is offering me a two-book deal to publish:

• The Nicene Creed: A Phrase-by-Phrase Exposition for Faith and Life OR The Nicene Creed: A Majestic 1700-Year-Old Expression of the Christian Faith
• An as-of-yet untitled health book for Christians.

Still scheduled for release later this year are a several online devotions for the YouVersion App:

• For release on or about 11/01/25:
  • “What the Bible Says About … Volume 2 – A 6-Month Daily Devotional”
  • “Calling Abba: 30 Days of Bible-Based Prayers (Month 1)”
  • “What the Bible Says About Thanksgiving, Rejoicing, Generosity, and Blessings”
• For release on 12/01/25:
  • “What the Bible Says About Christmas – 31 Days of Meditations”
  • “What the Bible Says About Advent – 29 Days of Advent Meditations”
  • “Calling Abba: 30 Days of Bible-Based Prayers (Month 2)”

Greg Johnson and his agency are shopping another proposal: “Calling Abba: 365 Days to Finding the Closeness to God You Always Wanted.”

“What the Bible Says About ‘Volume 1’?” is already published as a one-year Bible -reading devotoina on the YouVersion App and has 7,000-8,000 subscribers using it each month in over 100 countries. You can learn more about the plan and sign up for a free subscription using the QR code above..

D. Last of my WWII blogs 

Now that the war has ended, at least as of 80 years ago, these are the last two blogs about my father’s WWII exploits. Nevertheless, the five years after WWII were some of his most exhilarating and exciting. I hope you’ll enjoy them by reading his book, At First Light: A True World War II Story of a Hero, His Bravery, and an Amazing Horse.

5. Last Month’s Happenings

• Our calendar this last month was unusually quiet, which we loved. It may have been our last summer in Colorado while we continue wait for our home to sell. I’ve also really enjoyed being able to devote significant time to a number of writing projects.
