1) ARMY magazine carries an article about my father’s incredible WWII exploits and heroics

I was honored to have an article based upon my and Mike Yorkey’s book, At First Light: A True World War II Story of a Hero, His Bravery, and an Amazing Horse published in ARMY magazine in February. It was titled, ‘Dogface’ Hero: Headstrong Teen Becomes Highly Decorated Young Leader, and you can read the article here.

For a number of years I’ve been working on a daily devotional titled, “What the Bible Says About …”. It has just been released on the YouVersion app.

  • Click on “Start Plan”

You can also take a look at it in your browser here.

3) At First Light released in soft cover

In case you haven’t read or listened to Dad’s book, you can learn more or order it here.

Gosh, it’s almost been two years since At First Light: A True World War II Story of a Hero, His Bravery, and an Amazing Horse released in hardcover. It’s almost sold out of the second printing and the publisher just released in in soft cover. As of now, it’s only available at Amazon.

4) “Ask Dr. Walt” column in March’s Today’s Christian Living magazine on high cholesterol and red rice yeast

6) List of last month’s WWII blogs in my continuing series: “Where Was Phil Larimore 80 Years Ago Today?”

I’m continuing a blog on most days for the next 18 months or so following my father’s exploits and adventures during WWII. Each blog will represent what he and the men with whom he was fighting were doing 80 years ago on the exact day of the blog.

Here are the blogs for March:

Could I ask a favor? Could you let friends and family who are WWII aficionados know about the blog? They can sign up for it at www.DrWalt.com.

7) Last Month’s Happenings

  • Barb developed an inguinal hernia suddenly last month and had surgery to repair it about two weeks ago. I’ve been her home healthcare nurse and have enjoyed every minute with her as she continues to recover. We’re thankful for many friends who prayed and have provided meals for us.
  • No travel, speaking, or PR events were held last month.
  • The 9th semester of the marriage ministry Barb and I direct, ReEngage, is past its halfway point. It’s great to see so many couples working on their marriages – and even neater to see the Lord at work in the lives of His kids.

8) Upcoming Events

  • No travel, speaking, or PR events are planned for April. Barb and I look forward to enjoying another sabbatical month of rest and refocusing.
