The righteous will never be shaken
February 19, 2021Shout for joy before the Lord
February 20, 2021Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? … Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice … Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
These things I remember as I pour out my soul: how I used to go to the house of God under the protection of the Mighty One with shouts of joy and praise among the festive throng. … Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my joy and my delight. I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God. … May the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful.
May all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who long for your saving help always say, “The LORD is great!” … Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. … He brought out his people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy.
I will be fully satisfied, as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you. On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings.

There are two ways our “bones can be crushed”. One is by the tragedies of life that oppress us. The other is by the overdoing in life we voluntarily wear and let weigh us down. I needed these verses for the latter. Thank you.
Thank you, Lord, for your Word and words.
