First of all, Barb and I pray I hope you and yours have a warm, memory-creating, family-filled holiday season and a Blessed New Year.

1. My Thanksgiving 2024 Prayer
Our adult children, their spouses, and the granddaughters were with us for Thanksgiving. We had a marvelous week together. What a joy it was. On Thanksgiving morning I work up super early (3 AM) and could not go back to sleep. So, as is my habit when that happens (it’s not rare), I quietly got up (to not wake up Barb) and went out to do my “quiet time” chair for my morning tea (Earl Grey), Bible reading, meditation, and a time of journaling.
During my journaling time, I sensed a soft, quiet whisper nudging me to write a Thanksgiving Prayer for my family. My sense was not to pray to them or with them but rather, let them hear my Thanksgiving Prayer. I loved the words the Lord gave me that morning, and I was so very pleased with the impact the prayer had on me and the family. I wanted to share it with each of you and pray it’ll be a blessing to you all. Turns out it was the second most read blog of mine this last month.

5. Last Month’s Happenings
- Nov 12-18, Barb and I returned to Baton Rouge to support Barb’s sister, Sue, as she did some house cleaning and hosted a very successful garage sale.
- Nov 17, Barb and I celebrated our 51st wedding anniversary while in Baton Rouge over several lunches and dinners at some of our favorite BTR restaurants: Acme Oyster Housse, Alexander’s, JED’s Local, Mike Anderson’s Seafood, Louisiana Lagniappe Restaurant, Mansurs On The Boulevard, Sammy’s Seafood Highland, and Stab’s Prime Steak and Seafood.
- Nov 22-29, our Decatur, GA, clan, Scott, Jennifer, Katherine, and Sarah, traveled here to celebrate Thanksgiving week with Kate, Charles, Barb, and I. It was a GREAT week. See #1 above.
