3. List of last month’s WWII blogs in my continuing series: “Where Was Phil Larimore 80 Years Ago Today?”

I’m continuing a blog on most days for the next 12 months or so following my father’s exploits and adventures during WWII. Each blog will represent what he and the men with whom he was fighting were doing 80 years ago on the exact day of the blog. Here are last month’s blogs:

4. Last Month’s Happenings
  • Aug 31-Sept 2, our Labor Day weekend was delightfully spent with daughter, Kate, and SIL, Charles.
  • Sept 14-21, our annual beach vacation at Pensacola Beach, FL, was pushed back a bit by a feisty lady named Nicole, but fortunately the airline, car rental agency, and hotel all let us push our days back a bit at no charge. It was a wonderful week visiting with family and friends as well as enjoying amazing food and the incredible beach. And two surprise flyovers by the Blue Angels and another by a WWII B-25 bomber (like Barb’s dad used to fly) served as an amazing icing of the delicious cake of this vacation.
 5. Upcoming Events
  • Oct 5-12, Barb will be in Baton Rouge spending time with her sister, extended family, and old friends. For Walt, it’ll be a week of fasting! 
  • Oct 22-29, we’ll be in one of our favorite American cities, Chicago, for a meeting with the CRU Inner City ministry, as well as enjoying some of our favorite sites (like the Lincoln Park Zoo), a new attraction (Fly Over Chicago), and several of our old favorite restaurants.
