For over 20 years, Barb and I have had the tremendous honor of supporting Life Network here in Colorado Springs and each June many of you have supported our Walk for Life to support their amazing ministries. I have spoken at the fundraising events for many crisis pregnancy centers all over America. I know the hearts of these dedicated centers and their wonderful volunteers. I’m sickened about the war that has been declared against them.
I deeply appreciate the work and writing of my friend, Gary Bauer, the President of American Values. He wrote this shocking information about “Jane’s Revenge” on June 16:
Jane’s Revenge
In yesterday’s report, we outlined some of the pro-abortion domestic terrorism that has been taking place around the country. Steel yourselves. It’s going to get worse in the days and weeks ahead.
A radical group called “Jane’s Revenge” has issued a threat to crisis pregnancy centers across the country. Here’s a brief excerpt:
“From here forward, any anti-choice group who closes their doors, and stops operating will no longer be a target. But until you do, it’s open season, and we know where your operations are. The infrastructure of the enslavers will not survive. We will never stop, back down, slow down, or retreat. . . Everyone with the urge to paint, to burn, to cut, to jam: now is the time.”
I know the [crisis pregnancy centers] will never stop, they will never back down, they will never slow and they will never retreat in the “good fight” for the sanctity of life! And neither will I!
Once again, we see how the intolerant left is exposing the lie of “choice.” They are threatening the very people who make the choice of life possible! And they are also exposing their ghoulish commitment to death and destruction.
- Is anyone paying attention at the Justice Department?
- Is anyone at work today at the Department of Homeland Security?
- Is anyone on the job in the Oval Office? Well, we all know the answer to that.
Federal officers need to be deployed – NOW! – to protect these centers and the pregnant women who go to them.
The refusal of President Biden, of Attorney General Merrick Garland, of Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas, and of FBI Director Wray to explicitly condemn this group and to warn these real domestic terrorists of severe consequences is a national scandal!
More than 120 House Republicans and more than a dozen Senate Republicans are demanding that Merrick Garland actually do something to stop the nationwide domestic terror campaign by radical pro-abortion groups.
That’s good. But every elected official at every level of office must issue a strong statement today demanding respect for the rule of law and action by local, state and federal law enforcement officials.
Churches & Pastors: Wake Up Now!
Many crisis pregnancy centers around the country are loosely affiliated with a church or receive financial help from local congregations. I urge pastors and church leaders to step up now. Take immediate steps today to organize volunteers to protect crisis pregnancy centers in your communities.
This is particularly important throughout the summer, given that the Supreme Court is expected to issue any day now the most significant pro-life decision in history.
Finally, if you’re a pastor who has tried to avoid discussing abortion because you wanted to “avoid politics,” here’s a chance to recover your honor. Stand with fellow believers who are trying to save innocent human life, and help women in crisis!
There’s a clear benefit here for your church, too.
We are not far from the day when you will have to deploy the same kind of security to protect your church from intolerant leftists. They are coming for crisis pregnancy centers today. They will come for the churches soon enough. In fact, many churches have already been attacked.
The Body of Christ needs to wake up now! We can’t hide in the pews hoping to avoid the culture war.
Left-wing Hate
Another pro-life organization has been attacked, this time in Minnesota. The office of Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life, the state National Right to Life affiliate, was vandalized with spray paint and its office windows were smashed.
This is just the latest in at least 60 such attacks against pro-life organizations nationwide since Justice Alito’s draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade was leaked from the Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, I am not aware of one official from the Biden Administration publicly condemning the attacks and demanding that they stop. All they talk about is the threat of domestic terrorism from white supremacists. Clearly, the most immediate threat right now is coming from “pro-death supremacists.”
In response to this total lack of action, Sen. Tom Cotton is demanding Attorney General Merrick Garland’s resignation.
Crisis pregnancy centers are facilities that serve women in need. If any other facilities serving women were being attacked all over America, there would be national outrage.
We’re told that the progressive movement is pro-woman. Apparently, they are only pro-woman if it involves killing babies. If you think women are givers of life, progressives have no use for you.
Jane’s Revenge is trying to shut down these pro-life centers by any means necessary. It said also that the attacks are intended to make it impossible for pro-life groups to be insured. If the violence and vandalism continue, insurance companies will rate them as “high risk” and their insurance costs will skyrocket.
So, they’re also trying to financially destroy a network of centers that help poor women in crisis who have often been abandoned and don’t want to kill their children. They are attacking the very people who make the choice of life possible.
UPDATE
As we have noted, Jane’s Revenge, an extreme pro-abortion domestic terrorist group, is vowing a “Night of Rage” against America whenever the Supreme Court releases its final decision in the Dobbs case. Dozens of pro-life crisis pregnancy centers have already been attacked. You can see it here.
Let’s be absolutely clear about this: These attacks are hate crimes. They are targeting centers that help women in need and people who are trying to save innocent babies.
It’s really not surprising that the pro-abortion left is prone to violence because the act of abortion itself is an act of extreme violence against the most innocent among us.
If there had been dozens of attacks against centers that catered to women in any other situation, it would be 24/7 national news. All the talking heads on the cable news networks would have their hair on fire. The president of the United States and the attorney general would not hesitate to condemn it.
Men and women of faith must step up! We cannot be silent in the face of such threats. The early church faced far worse, as the underground church does today in many Islamic and Marxist nations.
