Nice review of last fall’s book release: The Best Gift: Tales of a Small-Town Doctor Learning Life’s Greatest Lessons

In the fall of 2021, I published the first book looking back at my family medicine practice years with John Hartman, MD, in Kissimmee, Florida (1985-2001). The Best Medicine: Tales of Humor and Hope from a Small-Town Doctor was well received with 189 5-star reviews on Amazon. The sequel, The Best Gift: Tales of a Small-Town Doctor Learning Life’s Greatest Lessons came out in the fall of 2022 and already has garnered 48 5-star reviews on Amazon. The most recent professional review is an encouragement and blessing for me.

Robert Gillett is the Church Accounts Supervisor at Baker Book House. Recently he posted about the books he loves to recommend! Here’s what he wrote about The Best Gift which he is currently reading:

This is a delightful book. Larimore shares true stories of his small-town doctor experiences. It is an easy and fast read. I have read all of his books and look forward to new titles in the future.

A second collection of stories about colorful and crusty characters, warmhearted townspeople, and peppery medical personalities, offering vibrant slices of a young physician’s early years of practice and unfolding drama in a small town in rural Florida.

You can learn more about the books and order them here for The Best Medicine and here for The Best Gift. If you’ve not read them, I hope you will and pray that they’ll be a blessing for you!
