A wife of noble character who can find?
August 7, 2021A wife … is worth far more than rubies
August 8, 2021To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord) … A husband must not divorce his wife. … God has called us to live in peace. … How do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?
I would like you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord’s affairs—how he can please the Lord. But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world—how he can please his wife—and his interests are divided. … I am saying this for your own good, not to restrict you, but that you may live in a right way in undivided devotion to the Lord.
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.
You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine. Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance. … Similarly, encourage the young men to be self-controlled. In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.
