Jesus knew their thoughts
July 25, 2021These three remain: faith, hope and love; but the greatest is love
July 26, 2021Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, “Who is it you want?” … “Yet there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him. … For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said not every one was clean. … But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all people. He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person.
“Now we can see that you know all things and that you do not even need to have anyone ask you questions. This makes us believe that you came from God.”
Then they prayed, “Lord, you know everyone’s heart. Show us which of these two you have chosen.”
It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
These are the words of the Son of God … “All the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.” … Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.”
