Our citizenship is in heaven
July 23, 2021Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
July 24, 2021For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them. … And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man. … And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way. … However, the Most High does not live in houses made by men. As the prophet says: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me?” says the Lord.
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. … For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form. … Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
O LORD, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD. … You hem me in—behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. … How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand.
