The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it … he who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do. … He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them—he remains faithful forever. … Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.
The LORD works out everything to its proper end—even the wicked for a day of disaster. … And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose … according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will.
Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun. … I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it.
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. … He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. … Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
