In your distress you called and I rescued you.
June 29, 2021He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens
June 30, 2021Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live. … I was overcome by distress and sorrow. Then I called on the name of the LORD. … When hard pressed I cried to the LORD, he brought me into a spacious place. In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me. From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help, and you listened to my cry. … When my life was ebbing away, I remembered you, LORD, and my prayer rose to you, to your holy temple. … You came near when I called you, and you said, “Do not fear.” O Lord, you took up my case; you redeemed my life.
Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, “Move from here to there” and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. … Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.
After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. … Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man. … Come near to God and he will come near to you. … Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
