You desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught me wisdom in that secret place

Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom

Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. … He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. … He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. … He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.

I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors: You have given me wisdom and power. … Wisdom is better than strength … The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouts of a ruler of fools. Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good.

When I applied my mind to know wisdom and to observe the labor that is done on earth—people getting no sleep day or night—then I saw all that God has done.

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! … Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor? … Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them? For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.
