Be kind and compassionate to one another

As God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. … The Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. … Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

(The older women) can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. … For this very reason, make every effort to add … mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. … Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way … in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love.
