He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak
February 7, 2021The joy of the Lord is your strength
February 8, 2021Then you will have success if you are careful to observe the decrees and laws that the Lord gave Moses … As long as he sought the Lord, God gave him success … Lord, save us! Lord, grant us success!
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes … (does) it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever … I wanted to be sure I was not running and had not been running my race in vain.
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day … His lord said unto him, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”
Now the God of peace … make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
