Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance. … Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father.

Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come. … Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained in the way of righteousness. … The glory of young men is their strength, gray hair the splendor of the old. … Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. Praise the LORD from the earth … old men … Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is exalted. … With whom will you compare me or count me equal? To whom will you liken me that we may be compared?
