Trust in the Lord

Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord.

(Abraham) did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. …  The people of Judah were victorious because they relied on the LORD, the God of their ancestors.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea. … It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in humans. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes. … Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe. … The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand. … Blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. … Those who trust in the LORD will prosper.

Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Fear the LORD, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing. … Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord. … The LORD’s unfailing love surrounds the one who trusts in him. … LORD ALMIGHTY, blessed is the one who trusts in you.

The LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.

There is amazing joy in discovering that all that happens to a man or woman occurs so that we look to God as our hope and joy. All the good and all the bad teaches us, if we listen, that God is love. How can we learn to walk in that confidence? These words are life.
