The Lord, My Portion
December 9, 2020The Lord, My Confidence
December 10, 2020The joy of the LORD is your strength.
Shout for joy, you heavens; rejoice, you earth; burst into song, you mountains! For the LORD comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones. … Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. … He is my God, and I will praise him and I will exalt him. … The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. …
A people saved by the LORD. He is your shield and helper and your glorious sword. … You are my strength, I watch for you; you, God, are my fortress.
Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God. … We who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh. … Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. … I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior.
But you, LORD, do not be far from me. You are my strength. … LORD, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in time of distress. … Sing for joy to God our strength; shout aloud to the God of Jacob! … My God has been my strength. … The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? … I love you, LORD, my strength.

What wonderful verses to meditate on. Sadly we often do not experience his strength because we do not fully follow him and do things that require his strength not are own. PTL for his strength.
Amen.
