The Way is Trying – 3
December 8, 2020The Lord, My Help
December 9, 2020And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure. … May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you.
I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” … He is gracious to that person. … Justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished. … Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. … Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. … But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. … Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. … He gives us more grace.
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen
