My Defense

December 14, 2020The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer.
But as for me, I am poor and needy; come quickly to me, O God. You are my help and my deliverer; LORD, do not delay. … Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. … When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. … LORD, my strong deliverer.
We do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. … And he died for all that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. … He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us. … And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved. … Everyone whose name is found written in the book will be delivered. … You came out to deliver your people.
For I am with you and will save you and deliver you. … I will deliver this people from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. … Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! … He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer.
