Achievement
November 17, 2020Reconciliation
November 18, 2020Then all the disciples deserted him and fled.
Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. … This is why I weep and my eyes overflow with tears. No one is near to comfort me, no one to restore my spirit. … I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever. … I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
A time is coming when you will be scattered, each to your own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me. I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. … At my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them. But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength.
Because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” … God sets the lonely in families. … For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother. … The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. … I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.
