Failure

Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.

Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God. … When he drank some of its wine, he became drunk. … For David had done what was right in the eyes of the Lord and had not failed to keep any of the Lord’s commands all the days of his life—except in the case of Uriah the Hittite. … And I tell you that you are Peter, and I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. … Now Peter was sitting out in the courtyard, and a servant girl came to him. “You also were with Jesus of Galilee,” she said. But he denied it before them all. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said.

The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand. … Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion. … I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. … That the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. … To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy.
