November 11, 2020Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.
But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who long for your saving help always say, “The Lord is great!”
I have become like broken pottery. For I hear many whispering; terror on every side! They conspire against me and plot to take my life. But I trust in you, Lord; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in your hands. Let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing love. Let me not be put to shame, Lord, for I have cried out to you.
Remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall. I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me. Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”
The Lord will call you back as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit—a wife who married young, only to be rejected,” says your God. “With deep compassion I will bring you back. With everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you,” says the Lord your Redeemer.
Although you have been forsaken and hated, with no one traveling through, I will make you the everlasting pride and the joy of all generations.
