The Secret – 1
October 7, 2020The Mystery – 1
October 8, 2020The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. … For the Lord takes the upright into his confidence.
There is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries. … And these are but the outer fringe of his works; how faint the whisper we hear of him! Who then can understand the thunder of his power? … My heart is not proud, Lord, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me. But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content.
I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. … He who sent me is trustworthy, and what I have heard from him I tell the world…. God’s intimate friendship blessed my house.
If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. … The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. … But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
