My Redeemer Lives

I know that my redeemer lives.

The Lord who rescues Israel lives. … Even now my witness is in heaven; my advocate is on high. … For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! … Because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

Because I live, you also will live. … Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.

If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied. But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. … Yet their Redeemer is strong; the Lord Almighty is his name.

“The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who repent of their sins,” declares the Lord. … In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace. … For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
