Our Help
August 28, 2020Our Fortress
August 29, 2020The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.
The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? … The Lord is … my stronghold, my refuge and my savior—from violent people you save me.
As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. … The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord; he is their stronghold in time of trouble.
The eternal God is your refuge. … You are God my stronghold. … The way of the Lord is a refuge for the blameless, but it is the ruin of those who do evil.
He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me. … May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.
The Lord will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the heavens will tremble. But the Lord will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel. … The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
