Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends! … If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.
For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. … The LORD will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life.
So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! … Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
My righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back. But we are not of them who draw back into perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. … They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.
If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. … The one who stands firm to the end will be saved. … Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. … Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. … The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels.
