As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one.”
We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. … All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away. … There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. … But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. … For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. … For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. … Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. … For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus. … Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
