Despised
July 28, 2020We Are Comforted
July 29, 2020They triumphed … by the blood of the Lamb.
It is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life. … I am the Lord. The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. … In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. … God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith.
Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. … Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. … No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. … For everyone born of God overcomes the world.
These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from? … These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. … To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.
