In your distress you called and I rescued you.
Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me. I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue. If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and heard my prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!
I cried out to God for help; I cried out to God to hear me. When I was in distress, I sought the Lord. … Yet he took note of their distress when he heard their cry.
Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains. … Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent forth his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave. … Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper. … Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He led them by a straight way to a city where they could settle. Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.
Let them sacrifice thank offerings and tell of his works with songs of joy.
