Everything – 4
June 9, 2020Everything – 6
June 10, 2020The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. … for, the earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. … But everything comes from God.
And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.
The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them. … But whoever has doubts is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.
For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.
“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything. … “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive.
But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way. … What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up.
