The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it … he who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do.
He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them—he remains faithful forever. … Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.
The LORD works out everything to its proper end—even the wicked for a day of disaster. … And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose … according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will.
Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun. … I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it.
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. … He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
