Your Kingdom Come
May 7, 2020Give Us Today Our Daily Bread
May 8, 2020Your will be done. … Live … for the will of God. … Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.
Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable … and that in this matter no one should wrong his brother or take advantage of him.
He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created. … Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. … Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.
