Live Wisely – Watch Your Words
May 15, 2020Live Wisely – Steward Your Money – 1
May 16, 2020Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth. … Diligent hands will rule.
The lazy do not roast any game, but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt. … A sluggard’s appetite is never filled, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied. … All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty. … One who is slack in his work is brother to one who destroys.
Laziness brings on deep sleep, and the shiftless man goes hungry. … A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—and poverty will come on you like a bandit and scarcity like an armed man. … The sluggard’s craving will be the death of him, because his hands refuse to work. … Those who work their land will have abundant food, but those who chase fantasies will have their fill of poverty. A faithful person will be richly blessed.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. … Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before obscure men.
Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work.
