Live Wisely – Steward Your Money – 1

Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.

He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done. … A person who gives freely … gains even more. … A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. … A faithful person will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished.

Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness. … Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven … For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death. … But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. … What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeits their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?

Those who trust in riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf. … How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver!
