Then you will have success if you are careful to observe the decrees and laws that the Lord gave Moses … He holds success in store for the upright.
As long as he sought the Lord, God gave him success … Lord, save us! Lord, grant us success!
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes … (does) it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever … I wanted to be sure I was not running and had not been running my race in vain.
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day …
His lord said unto him, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”
Now the God of peace … make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
