For all who have not met me personally … My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry … Therefore, brothers and sisters, in all our distress and persecution we were encouraged about you because of your faith.

I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith … For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.

Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.

We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is … to encourage, then give encouragement!
