Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink
December 14, 2019The unfolding of your words gives light
December 15, 2019The master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”
For the ear tests words as the tongue tastes food. … I believed; therefore I have spoken. … I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him. … My beloved; I delight to sit in his shade, and his fruit is sweet to my taste.
God’s kindness. … He did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. … How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! … Know also that wisdom is sweet to your soul; if you find it, there is a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.
Let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
