One thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead

No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. … The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind. … Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! … Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. … And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. … Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long. … Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! … He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.
