Before you were born I set you apart. … For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
Your hands made me and formed me. … Your hands shaped me and made me. Remember that you molded me like clay. Did you not clothe me with skin and flesh and knit me together with bones and sinews? You gave me life and showed me kindness, and in your providence watched over my spirit.
This is what the Lord says—he who made you, who formed you in the womb, and who will help you: “Do not be afraid.” … This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb: “I am the Lord, the Maker of all things, who stretches out the heavens, who spreads out the earth by myself. … But now, this is what the Lord says—he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.” … Before I was born the Lord called me; from my mother’s womb he has spoken my name.
