I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless
October 6, 2019The Lord confides in those who fear him
October 7, 2019Oh, how I wish that God would speak, that he would open his lips against you and disclose to you the secrets of wisdom. … A word was secretly brought to me, my ears caught a whisper of it. … His wisdom is profound, his power is vast. … I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.
We declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”—the things God has prepared for those who love him—these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.
The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables. … The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, “though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.” … Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.
