The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble
October 2, 2019Run in such a way as to get the prize
October 3, 2019Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. … For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. … Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. … The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. … Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? … Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. … Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. … Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
