We wait for the blessed hope God has given us
September 28, 2019I will ask the Father and he will give you another advocate
September 29, 2019God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. … The Spirit of wisdom and revelation… The Spirit of his Son. … The Spirit of God. … The eternal Spirit.
The Spirit of the Lord—the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord. … The Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. …A Spirit of judgment and a Spirit of fire. …A Spirit of justice.
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord. … The breath of the Almighty gives me life. …The Spirit of your Father speaking through you. … The Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father. … The power of the Most High.
If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him! … Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever. … But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me. … Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.

I liked the first sentence of the devotional, it was a good encouragement. Thank you for writing this devotional.
Robert,
My devotionals are not my words, but rather, God’s word. The first “sentence” of the devotional is actually a verse (Ro 5:5). At the bottom of each devotional, all of the verses that are quoted above are listed. And they are hyperlinked to the Bible itself.
Hope Morning Glory, Evening Grace will continue to be a blessing to you.

Thank you for responding to my comment. I am an eleven year old, a 6th grade homeschooler and a great aggravator of my six year old brother. My Dad is a pastor of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Guin, AL.
My Momma, she’s an addict of coffee!
We are reading the devotionals each day!
