The King of kings and Lord of lords
September 25, 2019You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am
September 26, 2019I am a worm and not a man, scorned by everyone, despised by the people. … I am poor and needy. … I am a foreigner to my own family, a stranger to my own mother’s children; for zeal for your house consumes me, and the insults of those who insult you fall on me. … Scorn has broken my heart and has left me helpless; I looked for sympathy, but there was none, for comforters, but I found none. … I am afflicted and in pain. … I am like a bird alone on a roof. … My days are like the evening shadow; I wither away like grass.
I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades. … “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty. … Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. … It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. … I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. … I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.
