We are waiting for Jesus Christ to appear in all his glory. He is our great God and Savior.
For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done. … “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.”
Our hope is certain. It is something for the soul to hold on to. It is strong and secure. It goes all the way into the Most Holy Room behind the curtain. That is where Jesus has gone. … Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything. … On the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed.
We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. … Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. … When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
“Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
