CDC: One in four high school students drinks soda daily

July 13, 2011The CDC released a report of a nationwide survey of more than 11,000 high school students across the country, finding that only 15 percent get the minimum of 60 minutes per day of aerobic activity that meets the goals outlined in the government’s Healthy People 2020.The strategy is part of a national health promotion and disease prevention plan put forward by the federal government.
In addition, the survey also found that a “little more than half the teens hit the goal for muscle-building activity, but only 12 percent met the standard for both aerobic and muscle-building exercise.
