Singapore Will Consider Ethically Suspect Kidney Trading
July 21, 2008False headlines and news stories vilify Vytorin
July 21, 2008Reuters is reporting that a new rule requiring New York chain restaurants to post calorie information on their menus took effect on Friday, marking a first for a U.S. city. The move follows the city’s 2003 ban on public smoking and a ban on artery-clogging trans fats that began on July 1.
My Take?
I’m happy about this and explain my reasons in my book SuperSized Kids: How to protect your child from the obesity threat.
Research shows that the average person doesn’t have any idea of how many calories they are getting at most restaurants.
And media interviews with New Yorkers are documenting the same.
A city study last year found 30 percent of New Yorkers were consuming more than 1,000 calories at lunchtime. My guess is that most had no idea.
Now they will. And, my guess is that at least some will change their eating habits.
To me, that’s good news.

Nothing seems to be easier than seeing someone whom you can help but not helping.
I suggest we start giving it a try. Give love to the ones that need it.
God will appreciate it.
